Fremont Unfriendly To Haudenschild
PETERSEN MEDIA: Hitting the dirt at the Fremont Speedway on Saturday night, Jac Haudenschild and his Destiny Motorsports team had a forgettable night, as an issue during time trial, and a heat race wreck left them out of the feature event.
With 30 cars on had, Haudenschild timed in with the 25th fastest lap, as he only made one lap due to a fuel issue forcing him to end his qualifying run early, and he lined up in the back of his heat race.
In heat race action, Haudenschild’s nice did not get any better as he was caught up in a wreck, causing heavy damage to his racecar, and forcing him into the night’s B main.
With his crew scrambling to get his machine put back together as best they could, Haudenschild made the call for the B Main but lined up in the 9th position with only the top four finishers transferring to the feature event.
With a very banged up racecar, Haudenschild was up on the wheel as he gave it his all to get through the B Main.
Limping his way up to the fifth spot at the line, Haudenschild narrowly missed out on the final transfer spot, but his night was over.
“We just had some bad luck there in time-trials and in our heat,” he said. “Scott (Benic) and the boys did a nice job getting the car back together, but it was still pretty tore up there for the B.”
