Haudenschild Shows Serious Speed With Both World of Outlaws and All Stars

PETERSEN MEDIA: Spending his holiday weekend taking on both the All Star Circuit of Champions as well as the World of Outlaws, Jac Haudenschild and Destiny Motorsports team showed a ton of speed.

“We were pretty good at Fremont, and we were awesome at Lawrenceburg, but we got pinched into the wall and ended up tearing it up pretty good,” he said.

Taking on the World of Outlaws Monday night in Lawrenceburg, IN, Haudenschild timed his MonDak Portables/Benic Enterprises/Rick Rogers Construction entry in 21st fastest, putting him in the third row of his heat race.

Heat race action saw the Wooster, OH driver put on an absolute show, as he forged his forward, and rocketed to the heat race win, putting his machine in the night’s dash.

Starting in the fourth row of the Dash, Haudenschild got a great jump and picked up a row for the feature event as he finished fifth, putting him in the third row.

In just a few laps, Haudenschild had worked his way up into the second spot, and actually took the lead on the eighth lap, only to see the caution fly and negate the pass.

The ensuing restart saw Haudenschild slip back a few spots, but working the high side, ‘The Wild Child’ was working back forward when he got pinched into the turn four wall, and going down the front stretch, Haudenschild’s front tire gave way, and he bounced off wall and a couple of cars got into him ending his night.

In action with the All Stars on Sunday night, Haudenschild set the standard in time trials, before finishing in the fourth spot in heat race action, putting him in the Dash.

Finishing in the sixth spot in the Dash, Haud lined up for the feature in the third row, and on the extremely slick track, Haudenschild fought a bit of a tight race car at times.

Falling back as far as 12th, Haudenschild would get all he could out of his machine, and work back up to an eighth place finish.

Saturday night got off to tough start for the team as a very late pill draw for time trials resulted in Haudenschild timing in 31st fastest.

Charging from last to fifth in heat race action, Haudenschild earned the final transfer spot, though he lined up in the 21st position.

Stuck in the back of the pack on the extremely slick and slippery surface, Haudenschild tried all he could to get rolling, but just couldn’t get the run he needed and finished 21st.

“We are racing well, and timing in well at times, so I think when we can start putting complete nights together we will be tough to beat.”
