PETERSEN MEDIA: Though a tough 2016 is quickly coming to a close, Paul McMahan and the Destiny Motorsports team is looking forward to this weekend’s double-header at Lakeside Speedway and Salina Highbanks.

“It has been a rocky season, but we don’t give up,” Paul McMahan said. “This weekend we are heading into two tracks that I have ran well at in the past and hopefully we can continue to do so this weekend.”

After a frustrating weekend in Pennsylvania, McMahan and company continue to grind with just four races left on the schedule in 2016.

Friday night the series rolls into the Lakeside Speedway, where McMahan currently holds the track record and scored a Top-10 finish at in 2015.

“It is a fun racetrack with a lot of speed, and I look forward to it on Friday night,” McMahan added. “I was fortunate enough to set the qualifying track record there a couple years back, so that gives you a little confidence going back to a place like that.”

Saturday night the series makes a stop in Oklahoma where they will invade the exciting Salina Highbanks Speedway.

“Salina is a big, fast, high banked joint that put on a really good show last year,” McMahan noted. “After a year away things do change, but scoring Top-Five finish there in 2015 you hope to come back and try to do some of the same things.”

“We are working hard to finish strong and put the right things in place for 2017,” McMahan continued. “Rick and Barb Rogers love this sport, and are very committed to it and as I driver I appreciate everything they do.”
