Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports Bring Curtain Down on 2017 Season

PETERSEN MEDIA: Taking part in the 2017 World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte, Parker Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports would bring their 2017 season to a close.

“Our weekend got off to a bit of a rough start with qualifying night, and that put us in a hole from the get go,” Price-Miller said. “Luckily we were able to make a lot of laps and work on some stuff so we will take that and look to build on it for 2018.”

Timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 machine in 19th in his flight for Friday’s race and 15th for Saturday’s program, PPM and the team knew they had their work cut out for them.

Lining up in the fourth row of his Friday night heat, the Kokomo, IN driver would not be able to work his way into a direct transfer on the slick surface as his seventh place finish put him in the third row of the ‘C’ Main.

Getting off to a slow start in the ‘C’, PPM would use a late restart and race his way up to third as he chased after Shawn Dancer for the final transfer position. Unable to get Dancer, Price-Miller would be forced to take a provisional into the feature event.

Lining up 30th in the ‘A’ on this night, Destiny Motorsports and Price-Miller would not have their best night as the youngster couldn’t seem to get going on the extremely slick surface. Finishing 28th, PPM would look to get better on Saturday night.

Taking the green flag from the fifth starting spot, a fifth place finish would put PPM in the ‘B’ Main where his eighth place finish would again force him to take a provisional into the feature event.

Gridding the field from 28th, Price-Miller would get of to a nice start until trouble in front of him on lap four would see him endure front end damage and force him to the work area.

With the Destiny Motorsports team going to work with the aid of members from numerous other teams, the four car emerged from the work area with a new front end and was able to restart the race.

From the back of the pack, Price-Miller would continue to run well as he was able to pick up some spots against the stout field assembled on this night. When the race came to an end, Price-Miller would end his season with a 21st place finish.

“I have to thank Rick and Barb Rogers and everyone involved for this opportunity,” Price-Miller added. “We got together at a tough point in the year but we always worked hard and we will continue to do so this winter as we prepare for FL.”
